COMMUNION AT the VINEYARD

Communion, also called the Lord's Supper, is a sign of our continuing fellowship with Christ. We welcome all who are seeking more of Jesus' influence in their lives to participate in communion. You can express this by accepting the cup and bread.

The Lord's Supper reminds us that Jesus' payment for our sins has already been accomplished. The bread is broken symbolizing the breaking of Christ's body; the cup reminds us that Jesus' blood has been poured out for us. It is a wonderful place to find reassurance again and again of Jesus' personal love for you.

Our Tradition of Serving Communion
Our Vineyard's tradition of celebrating the Lord's Supper includes the following: We share communion together the 1st Sunday of each month. At our church we share communion in the midst of musical worship. After an invitation to participate, folks can go to a table to get the bread and cup and then return to their seats. Communion may be taken in silent reflection together with family or friends.

Investigating Christianity?
That's great! As long as you are desiring more of Jesus' influence in your life, you are welcome to participate in the Lord's Supper. However, you may feel more comfortable simply using this time for reflection. That's OK too! If you want to know more about responding to God's love we'd love to talk with you. Be encouraged...if you're seeking God, He can be found!
